Our cherries are large, juicy and dark red/black. Our fruit is grown in a training system which enables us to hand pick the ripest fruit at the optimum time. Our fruit is some of the tastiest fruit you'll ever try. Enjoy cherries all year long with a more-ish cherry jam, sauce or preserve.
Key benefits of cherries: Sweet cherries are a rich source of phenolics compounds, including anthocyanins that are important antioxidants. The beneficial effects of cherries on different aspects of health include relief from arthritis and a reduction in uric acid in a study on gout. Cherries have also been shown to contain high levels of melatonin. Research has shown that people who have heart attacks have low melatonin levels. Besides being an anti-oxidant, melatonin has also been shown to be important for the function of the immune system. Sweet cherries are also considered to be excellent sources of boron. Boron consumption, coupled with calcium and magnesium has been linked to increased bone health.
